▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ Nay, I swear by the places of the stars - 75 and that is a mighty oath, if you but knew 76 Behold, it is a truly noble discourse, 77 In Book well-guarded, 78 Which none can touch except the purified. 79 It is a revelation sent down from the Lord of the worlds. 80 Then why do you dissimulate this Revelation? 81 And make [the thanks for] your provision that you deny [the Provider]? 82 Why can you not help a soul dying 83 And ye are then looking on. 84 - And We are nearer unto him than ye are, but ye see not - 85 Then why do ye not,- If you are exempt from (future) account,- 86 do you not restore his soul, if you are truthful? 87 Then if he is one of those drawn nigh (to Allah), 88 Then breath of life, and plenty, and a Garden of delight. 89 And if he was of the companions of the right, 90 (he will be greeted with): 'Peace be upon you, Companion of the Right' 91 But, if he is of those who belied, and went astray, 92 He shall have an entertainment of boiling water, 93 and the heat of hell fire. 94 Indeed, this is the certain truth. 95 So celebrate with praises the name of thy Lord, the Supreme. 96

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
