۞ Nay, I swear by the setting of the stars -- 75 (and that is indeed a mighty oath, did you but know it) 76 Indeed, it is a noble Qur'an 77 inscribed in a well-guarded Book, 78 None may touch it, except with ablution. 79 [It is] a revelation from the Lord of the worlds. 80 Do you then hold this announcement in contempt? 81 And make denial thereof your livelihood? 82 Why is it not then that when it (soul) comes up to the throat, 83 And ye are then looking on. 84 And We are nigher unto him than ye are, but ye behold not 85 Wherefore then, if ye are not to be requited 86 why can you not bring it (the soul) back (to life)? 87 But if he [the dying person] is one of those brought near to God, 88 Then breath of life, and plenty, and a Garden of delight. 89 And if he is of those on the right, – 90 Then: peace unto thee, for thou art of those on the right hand. 91 And if he is one of the rejecters, the erring ones, 92 there shall be a hospitality of boiling water 93 And burning in Hell-Fire. 94 Indeed, this is the true certainty, 95 So exalt the name of your Lord, the Most Great. 96
