▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ Then I swear by the setting of the stars, 75 And lo! that verily is a tremendous oath, if ye but knew - 76 that this indeed is a noble Qur'an, 77 Kept in a secure Book. 78 which none but the pure [of heart] can touch: 79 a sending down from the Lord of all Being. 80 How can you regard this discourse with disdain? 81 And make [the thanks for] your provision that you deny [the Provider]? 82 Why is it not then that when it (soul) comes up to the throat, 83 the while you are [helplessly] looking on 84 And We are nigher unto him than ye are, but ye behold not 85 Then why is it not-- if you are not held under authority-- 86 Call back the soul, if ye are true (in the claim of independence)? 87 Then if the dying one is of those having proximity, – 88 it will have rest, happiness, and a beautiful Paradise. 89 And if he is one of those on the right hand, 90 Then (the greeting) "Peace be unto thee" from those on the right hand. 91 But if he is of the deniers and the errants, 92 For him is Entertainment with Boiling Water. 93 And burning in Hellfire 94 Most surely this is a certain truth. 95 So exalt the Name of your Lord, the Great. 96
