▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ I swear by the fallings of the stars 75 And most surely it is a very great oath if you only knew; 76 This is indeed the noble Qur’an. 77 [conveyed unto man] in a well-guarded divine writ 78 Which none toucheth save the purified, 79 A revelation by the Lord of the worlds. 80 So is this the matter regarding which you laze? 81 And to give (it) the lie you make your means of subsistence. 82 Why, but when the soul leaps to the throat of the dying 83 the while you are helplessly watching that he is on the verge of death, 84 - And We are nearer unto him than ye are, but ye see not - 85 Then why is it not-- if you are not held under authority-- 86 why can you not bring it (the soul) back (to life)? 87 Then, if he be of those brought nigh the Throne, 88 Then [for him is] rest and bounty and a garden of pleasure. 89 And if he was of the companions of the right, 90 he will be greeted with, "Peace be to you," by those on the Right. 91 But if he be of them that cried lies, and went astray, 92 The welcome will be boiling water 93 And burning in Hell-Fire. 94 Indeed, this is the true certainty, 95 Wherefore hallow thou the name of thy Lord, the Mighty! 96
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
