▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ Then I swear by the setting of the stars, 75 And verily, that is indeed a great oath, if you but know. 76 that this indeed is a noble Qur'an, 77 In a Register well-protected; 78 none but the purified shall touch, 79 It has been revealed by the Lord of all the worlds. 80 Do you, then, take this discourse in light esteem, 81 And make denial thereof your livelihood? 82 Then why do you not (intervene) when (the soul of a dying person) reaches the throat? 83 and you are watching at that time 84 We are nearer to him than you, but you do not see 85 why, if you are not at Our disposal, 86 Can you not bring him back? (Answer) if you are truthful 87 Then, if he is one of the honoured, 88 then happiness and delight and Gardens of Bliss are his. 89 And if he is one of the People on the Right, 90 Then [the angels will say], "Peace for you; [you are] from the companions of the right." 91 And if he is one of those who give the lie (to this Message) and go astray, 92 For him is Entertainment with Boiling Water. 93 And burning in hell. 94 This is indeed the indubitable truth. 95 So glorify the name of your Great Lord. 96
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
