▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ No! I swear by the fallings of the stars 75 And lo! that verily is a tremendous oath, if ye but knew - 76 Indeed, it is a noble Qur'an 77 (Inscribed) in the well-kept Book. 78 which none but the pure may touch; 79 It is a revelation sent down from the Lord of the worlds. 80 What, do you hold this discourse in disdain, 81 do you make it your provision to belie it? 82 Then how is it that when the (dying) breath is withdrawn into the throat (and rattles), 83 right before your very eyes? 84 and We are nearer to him than you, although you cannot see Us -- 85 If you are true to your claim that there is no Day of Judgment, 86 Can you not bring him back? (Answer) if you are truthful 87 (If a dying soul) is of those near to God, 88 happiness [awaits him in the life to come,] and inner fulfillment, and a garden of bliss. 89 and if he is of those who are on the Right, 90 [he, too, will be welcomed into paradise with the words,] "Peace be unto thee [that art] of those who have attained to righteousness!" 91 But if one happens to be of those who are wont to call the truth a lie, and [thus] go astray, 92 he will be welcomed with boiling water. 93 And roasting at hell-fire. 94 Verily this! this is the very truth. 95 Therefore glorify the name of your Lord, the Great. 96
God the Almighty always says the truth.

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
