▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ I swear by the fallings of the stars 75 And that is indeed a tremendous oath, if you understand. 76 Most surely it is an honored Quran, 77 Kept in a secure Book. 78 Which (that Book with Allah) none can touch but the purified (i.e. the angels). 79 It has been revealed by the Lord of all the worlds. 80 So is this the matter regarding which you laze? 81 And make [the thanks for] your provision that you deny [the Provider]? 82 So why was it not, when the soul reaches up to the throat, – 83 And ye the while (sit) looking on,- 84 – at that moment when We are closer to him than you, although you do not see (Us) 85 If you are true to your claim that there is no Day of Judgment, 86 Do ye not force it back, if ye are truthful? 87 Thus if he is of those brought nigh, 88 For him shall be comfort, and fragrance and a Garden of Delight. 89 and if he is of those who are on the Right, 90 Then (the greeting) "Peace be unto thee" from those on the right hand. 91 But if he is one of those who rejected [the truth] and went astray, 92 The welcome will be boiling water 93 And burning in Hell-Fire. 94 This is the absolute Truth and certainty. 95 So celebrate with praises the name of thy Lord, the Supreme. 96

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
