Iron (Al-Hadeed)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
All that is in the heavens and the earth extols the glory of Allah. He is the Most Mighty, the Most Wise. 1 To Him belongs the Kingdom in the heavens and earth. It is He who revives and causes to die, and He has power over all things. 2 He is the First (nothing is before Him) and the Last (nothing is after Him), the Most High (nothing is above Him) and the Most Near (nothing is nearer than Him). And He is the All-Knower of every thing. 3 It was He who created the heavens and earth in six Days [periods] and then ascended the throne. He knows what enters the earth and what comes out of it; what descends from the sky and what ascends to it. He is with you wherever you are; He sees all that you do; 4 To Him belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth: and all affairs are referred back to Allah. 5 He makes the night to enter into the day and makes the day to enter into the night. He knows the thoughts within the breasts. 6 Accept faith in Allah and His Noble Messenger, and spend in His cause from what He has made you the heirs of; so for those among you who accepted faith and spent in His cause, is a great reward. 7 Why is it that you do not believe in Allah, when the Messenger calls on you to believe in your Lord, and He has made a covenant with you if you are believers? 8 He it is Who sendeth down clear revelations unto His slave, that He may bring you forth from darkness unto light; and lo! for you, Allah is Full of Pity, Merciful. 9 And what is the matter with you that you spend not in the Cause of Allah? And to Allah belongs the heritage of the heavens and the earth. Not equal among you are those who spent and fought before the conquering (of Makkah) (with those among you who did so later). Such are higher in degree than those who spent and fought afterwards. But to all, Allah has promised the best (reward). And Allah is All-Aware of what you do. 10
