Iron (Al-Hadeed)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
All that is in the heavens and the earth extols the glory of Allah. He is the Most Mighty, the Most Wise. 1 To Him belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and the earth; He gives life, and He makes to die, and He is powerful over everything. 2 He is the First and the Last and the Ascendant (over all) and the Knower of hidden things, and He is Cognizant of all things. 3 He it is who has created the heavens and the earth in six aeons, and is established on the throne of His almightiness. He knows all that enters the earth, and all that comes out of it, as well as all that descends from the skies, and all that ascends to them. And He is with you wherever you may be; and God sees all that you do. 4 His is the dominion of the heavens and the earth, and to Him are all matters referred (for judgement). 5 He merges Night into Day, and He merges Day into Night; and He has full knowledge of the secrets of (all) hearts. 6 Accept faith in Allah and His Noble Messenger, and spend in His cause from what He has made you the heirs of; so for those among you who accepted faith and spent in His cause, is a great reward. 7 What aileth you that ye believe not in Allah, when the messenger calleth you to believe in your Lord, and He hath already made a covenant with you, if ye are believers? 8 It is He who sends down upon His Servant [Muhammad] verses of clear evidence that He may bring you out from darknesses into the light. And indeed, Allah is to you Kind and Merciful. 9 And why should you not spend freely in the cause of God, seeing that God's [alone] is the heritage of the heavens and the earth? Not equal are those of you who spent and fought [in God's cause] before the Victory [and those who did not do so]: they are of a higher rank than those who would spend and fight [only] after it - although God has promised the ultimate good to all [who strive in His cause], and God is aware of what you do. 10
