Whoever gives a virtuous loan to God will receive double from Him in addition to an honorable reward. 11 On the Day you see the believing men and believing women, their light proceeding before them and on their right, [it will be said], "Your good tidings today are [of] gardens beneath which rivers flow, wherein you will abide eternally." That is what is the great attainment. 12 Upon the day when the hypocrites, men and women, shall say to those who have believed, 'Wait for us, so that we may borrow your light!' It shall be said, 'Return you back behind, and seek for a light!' And a wall shall be set up between them, having a door in the inward whereof is mercy, and against the outward thereof is chastisement. 13 They [who will remain without] will call out to those [within,] "Were we not with you?" - [to which] the others will answer: "So it was! But you allowed yourselves to succumb to temptation, and you were hesitant [in your faith,] and you were doubtful [of resurrection]; and your wishful thinking beguiled you until God's command came to pass: for, [indeed, your own] deceptive thoughts about God deluded you 14 So this day no ransom can be taken from you nor from those who disbelieved. Your home is the Fire; that is your patron, and a hapless journey's end. 15 ۞ Is not the time ripe for the hearts of those who believe to submit to Allah's reminder and to the truth which is revealed, that they become not as those who received the scripture of old but the term was prolonged for them and so their hearts were hardened, and many of them are evil-livers. 16 Know that Allah gives life to the earth after its lifelessness. We have made clear to you the signs; perhaps you will understand. 17 Surely (as for) the charitable men and the charitable women and (those who) set apart for Allah a goodly portion, it shall be doubled for them and they shall have a noble reward. 18 And those who believe in Allah and all His Noble Messengers, are the truly sincere; and are witness upon others, before their Lord; for them is their reward, and their light; and those who disbelieved and denied Our signs, are the people of hell. 19
