Al-Imraan 7 of 20

Say thou: O people of the Book! come to a word common between us and between you; that we shall worship none save Allah and that we shall not associate aught with Him, and that none of you shall take others as Lords beside Allah. Then if they turn away, say: bear witness that verily we are Muslims. 64 People of the Book, why do you dispute about Abraham when the Torah and Gospel were only sent down after him. Do you not use your reason? 65 Listen! This was what you argued about – of which you have some knowledge – why do you then argue about the matter you do not have any knowledge of? And Allah knows whereas you do not know. 66 Ibrahim was neither a Jew nor a Christian; but he was a Muslim, free from all falsehood; and was not of the polytheists. 67 Lo! those of mankind who have the best claim to Abraham are those who followed him, and this Prophet and those who believe (with him); and Allah is the Protecting Guardian of the believers. 68 A party of the followers of the Book desire that they should lead you astray, and they lead not astray but themselves, and they do not perceive. 69 O People of the Scripture, why do you disbelieve in the verses of Allah while you witness [to their truth]? 70 People of the Book! Why do you confound truth with falsehood, and knowingly hide the truth? 71
