The Column (Al-Suff)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
All that is in the heavens and the earth magnifies God; He is the All-mighty; the All-wise. 1 O ye who believe! Why say ye that which ye do not? 2 It is most hateful to Allah that you should say that which you do not do. 3 Surely God loves those who fight in His cause in full formations as though they were a compact wall. 4 And call to mind when Moses said to his people: “O my people, why do you torment me when you know well that I am Allah's Messenger to you?” So when they deviated, Allah made their hearts deviant. Allah does not direct the evil-doers to the Right Way. 5 And when Jesus, son of Mary, said: "O children of Israel, I am sent to you by God to confirm the Torah (sent) before me, and to give you good tidings of an apostle who will come after me, whose name is Ahmad (the praised one)." Yet when he has come to them with clear proofs, they say: "This is only magic." 6 Who is more unjust than one who creates falsehood against God when he has already been invited to Islam? God does not guide the unjust people. 7 they wish to put His light out with their mouths. But He will perfect His light, much as those who deny the truth may dislike it; 8 It is He who has sent His Messenger with the guidance and the religion of truth, that he may uplift it above every religion, though the unbelievers be averse. 9
