Friday (Al-Jumu'ah)
11 verses, revealed in Medina after The Column (Al-Suff) before Victory (Al-Fatt-h)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth declares the glory of Allah, the King, the Holy, the Mighty, the Wise. 1 He it is Who hath raised amdist the unlettered ones an apostle from among themselves, rehearsing unto them His revelations and purifying them and teaching them the Book and Wisdom, though they have been aforetime in error manifest. 2 and (He has also) sent him to those others who have not yet joined them. He is the Most Mighty, the Most Wise. 3 Such is the Bounty of Allah, which He bestows on whom He will: and Allah is the Lord of the highest bounty. 4 The likeness of those who are entrusted with the Law of Moses, yet apply it not, is as the likeness of the ass carrying books. Wretched is the likeness of folk who deny the revelations of Allah. And Allah guideth not wrongdoing folk. 5 Say: "O ye that stand on Judaism! If ye think that ye are friends to Allah, to the exclusion of (other) men, then express your desire for Death, if ye are truthful!" 6 But they will never long for it (death), because of what (deeds) their hands have sent before them! And Allah knows well the Zalimun (polytheists, wrong-doers, disbelievers, etc.). 7 Tell them: “The death from which you flee will certainly overtake you. Then you will be returned to Him Who fully knows what is hidden and what is manifest. Thereupon He will let you know all that you used to do.” 8

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
