Friday (Al-Jumu'ah)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ All that is in the heavens and the earth magnifies God, the King, the All-holy, the All-mighty, the All-wise. 1 It is He Who has sent amongst the Unlettered a messenger from among themselves, to rehearse to them His Signs, to sanctify them, and to instruct them in Scripture and Wisdom,- although they had been, before, in manifest error;- 2 And [to] others of them who have not yet joined them. And He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise. 3 Such is the favor of God which He grants to whomever He wants. God's favor is great. 4 The likeness of those who were laden with the Taurat and then they bare it not, is as the likeness of the ass bearing tomes. Hapless is the likeness of the people who belie the signs of Allah. And Allah guideth not a wrong doing people. 5 Say, "You who are Jews, if you claim that you are favoured by God out of all people, then long for death, if you are truthful." 6 They will never wish for death because of what they have done! God knows best about the unjust people. 7 So say, "The death you run away from will certainly meet you, and thereafter you will be brought back to the Knower of the unseen and the seen, and He will declare to you what you have done." 8
