Friday (Al-Jumu'ah)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ All that is in heavens and earth exalt Allah, the King, the Pure, the Almighty, the Wise. 1 It is He who has sent among the unlettered a Messenger from themselves reciting to them His verses and purifying them and teaching them the Book and wisdom - although they were before in clear error - 2 and (He has also) sent him to those others who have not yet joined them. He is the Most Mighty, the Most Wise. 3 Such is Allah's favour: He bestows it on whomsoever He pleases. Allah is the Lord of abounding favour. 4 The likeness of those who are entrusted with the Law of Moses, yet apply it not, is as the likeness of the ass carrying books. Wretched is the likeness of folk who deny the revelations of Allah. And Allah guideth not wrongdoing folk. 5 Say “O Jews! If you assume that you are Allah’s friends, others are not, then wish for death if you are truthful!” 6 But they will not wish for it, ever, because of what their hands have put forth. And Allah is Knowing of the wrongdoers. 7 Say (to them): "Verily, the death from which you flee will surely meet you, then you will be sent back to (Allah), the All-Knower of the unseen and the seen, and He will tell you what you used to do." 8
