Mutual Blaming (Al-Taghaabun)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is on the earth glorifies Allah. His is the dominion, and to Him belong all the praises and thanks, and He is Able to do all things. 1 It is He who created you. Amongst you is an unbeliever and amongst you is a believer. Allah sees the things you do. 2 He created the heavens and the earth with deliberation, and gave you form, and shaped you well; and to Him is your returning. 3 He knows what is in the heavens and on earth, and He knows what you conceal and what you reveal. And Allah is the All-Knower of what is in the breasts (of men). 4 Has the news of the unbelievers of the past not reached you? (They disbelieved) and then tasted its evil consequence. A grievous chastisement awaits them. 5 this, because time and again there came unto them their apostles with all evidence of the truth, but they [always] replied, "Shall mere mortal men be our guides?" And so they denied the truth and turned away. But God was not in need [of them]: for God is self-sufficient, ever to be praised. 6 The unbelievers assert that they will never be raised up. Say: 'Yes indeed, by my Lord! You shall be raised up, then you shall be told the things you did. That is easy for God.' 7 Thus, have faith in God, His Messenger and the Light which We have revealed. God is Well-Aware of what you do. 8 The day when He will gather you, on the Day of Collective Assembly – that is the day when the loss of the losers will be laid bare; and whoever believes in Allah and does good deeds, Allah will relieve him of his sins and admit him into Gardens beneath which rivers flow, for them to abide in it forever; this is the greatest success. 9 And those who disbelieved and cried lies to Our signs, those shall be the inhabitants of the Fire. therein to dwell forever -- an evil homecoming! 10
