Kingship (Al-Mulk)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ Blessed be He in whose Hand is the Kingdom, He is powerful over all things, 1 He created death and life so that He might test you, and find out which of you is best in conduct. He is the Mighty, the Most Forgiving One. 2 who created the seven heavens, one above the other. You cannot see any inconsistency in the creation of the Merciful. Return your gaze, do you see any crack! 3 Then look again and yet again, your sight will return to you in a state of humiliation and worn out. 4 And We adorned the lower heaven with lamps, and made them things to stone Satans; and We have prepared for them the chastisement of the Blaze. 5 And for those who disbelieved in their Lord, is the punishment of hell; and what a wretched outcome! 6 When they are cast into it they will hear it sighing, the while it boils 7 As it would burst with rage. Whenever a (fresh) host is flung therein the wardens thereof ask them: Came there unto you no warner? 8 They say, 'Yes indeed, a warner came to us; but we cried lies, saying, "God has not sent down anything; you are only in great error. 9 They also say, 'If we had only heard, or had understood, we would not have been of the inhabitants of the Blaze.' 10 So they acknowledge their sins; but far removed (from mercy) are the dwellers in the flames. 11 (As for) those who fear their Lord in secret, they shall surely have forgiveness and a great reward. 12 Be secret in your speech, or proclaim it, He knows the thoughts within the breasts. 13 How could it be that He who has created [all] should not know [all]? Yea, He alone is unfathomable [in His wisdom,] aware! 14
