Kingship (Al-Mulk)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ BLESSED BE HE who holds the (reins of) Kingship in His hand, who has power over everything, 1 Who has created death and life, that He may test you which of you is best in deed. And He is the All-Mighty, the Oft-Forgiving; 2 [Hallowed be] He who has created seven heavens in full harmony with one another: no fault will thou see in the creation of the Most Gracious. And turn thy vision [upon it] once more: canst thou see any flaw? 3 Look twice (and keep on looking), your eyes will only become dull and tired. 4 We have adorned the lower heaven with lamps, and have made them a means to drive away the satans. We have prepared for them the chastisement of the Blazing Fire. 5 For those who reject their Lord (and Cherisher) is the Penalty of Hell: and evil is (such), Destination. 6 When they are cast into it they will hear it sighing, the while it boils 7 as though it will burst with rage. Every time a multitude is cast into it, its keepers will ask them: “Did no warner come to you?” 8 They will say: yea! surely there came a warner unto us, but we belied, and said: God hath not sent down aught, we are naught but in a great error. 9 And they say: Had we been wont to listen or have sense, we had not been among the dwellers in the flames. 10 They will then confess their sins: but far will be (Forgiveness) from the Companions of the Blazing Fire! 11 Surely forgiveness and a mighty reward await those who fear Allah without seeing Him. 12 And conceal your speech or publicize it; indeed, He is Knowing of that within the breasts. 13 Does the One Who is Subtle, All-aware, and Who created all things not know all about them? 14

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
