Kingship (Al-Mulk)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Blessed is He in Whose hand is the Sovereignty, and, He is Able to do all things. 1 Who created death and life that He might try you as to which of you is better in deed. He is the Most Mighty, the Most Forgiving; 2 Who hath created seven heavens in storeys. Thou shalt not behold in the Compassionate's creation any over-sight; then repeat thy look, beholdest thou any crack? 3 Look twice (and keep on looking), your eyes will only become dull and tired. 4 We have adorned the lower heaven with lamps, and We made them a stoning for the satans, We have prepared the punishment of the Blaze for them. 5 And for those who disbelieve in their Lord (Allah) is the torment of Hell, and worst indeed is that destination. 6 When they are cast into it, they will hear its roaring as it boils up, 7 It almost bursts with rage. Every time a company is thrown into it, its keepers ask them, "Did there not come to you a warner?" 8 They say: Yea, verily, a warner came unto us; but we denied and said: Allah hath naught revealed; ye are in naught but a great error. 9 And they will then say: 'If only we had listened and understood we should not now be among the inhabitants of the Blaze' 10 So they shall acknowledge their sins, but far will be (forgiveness) from the inmates of the burning fire. 11 As for those who fear their Lord unseen, for them is Forgiveness and a great Reward. 12 Whether you speak in secret or aloud, He knows what is in every heart. 13 Does He not know, Who created? And He is the Knower of the subtleties, the Aware. 14
