Kingship (Al-Mulk)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ Blessed is He in Whose hand is the kingdom, and He has power over all things, 1 Who created death and life that He may try you-- which of you is best in deeds; and He is the Mighty, the Forgiving, 2 The One Who created the seven heavens atop each other; do you see any discrepancy in the creation of the Most Gracious? Therefore lift your gaze – do you see any cracks? 3 Look twice (and keep on looking), your eyes will only become dull and tired. 4 We have adorned the lowest heaven with lamps, and We have made them for driving away devils. For them We have prepared the punishment of the blazing Fire. 5 for, suffering in hell awaits all who are [thus] bent on blaspheming against their Sustainer: and how vile a journey's end! 6 When they shall be cast therein, they shall hear a loud moaning of it as it heaves, 7 as though bursting with rage. Each time a group is cast into it, its keepers will ask them, "Did no warner come to you?" 8 They say, 'Yes indeed, a warner came to us; but we cried lies, saying, "God has not sent down anything; you are only in great error. 9 And they shall say: Had we but listened or pondered, we should not have been among the inmates of the burning fire. 10 So they shall confess their sin. Far away they be, the fellows of the Blaze! 11 Verily those who dread their Lord unseen, theirs shall be forgiveness and a great hire. 12 And whether you keep your talk secret or disclose it, verily, He is the All-Knower of what is in the breasts (of men). 13 How could it be that He who has created [all] should not know [all]? Yea, He alone is unfathomable [in His wisdom,] aware! 14
