Kingship (Al-Mulk)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ Blessed is He in Whose Hand is the dominion, and He is Able to do all things. 1 He Who created Death and Life, that He may try which of you is best in deed: and He is the Exalted in Might, Oft-Forgiving;- 2 He Who created the seven heavens one above another: No want of proportion wilt thou see in the Creation of (Allah) Most Gracious. So turn thy vision again: seest thou any flaw? 3 Then look again and yet again, your sight will return to you in a state of humiliation and worn out. 4 And We have certainly beautified the nearest heaven with stars and have made [from] them what is thrown at the devils and have prepared for them the punishment of the Blaze. 5 for, suffering in hell awaits all who are [thus] bent on blaspheming against their Sustainer: and how vile a journey's end! 6 When they are cast into that [hell,] they will hear its breath indrawing as it boils up, 7 nearly bursting apart out of rage. Every time a host is cast therein, its keepers will ask them: 'Did no one come to warn you' 8 They will say," Yes, a warner had come to us, but we denied and said, 'Allah has not sent down anything. You are not but in great error.'" 9 They will say: 'If we had only listened and understood, we would not be among the inmates of the Blazing Fire.'” 10 They will then confess their sins: but far will be (Forgiveness) from the Companions of the Blazing Fire! 11 Indeed for those who fear their Lord without seeing is forgiveness, and a great reward. 12 Whether you say a thing secretly or openly, He knows the innermost secrets of your hearts. 13 Can He who has created not know (His creation)? He is all-penetrating, all-aware. 14
