Kingship (Al-Mulk)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Blessed is He in whose hand is the Kingdom: He has power over all things; 1 It is He who has created death and life to put you to the test and see which of you is most virtuous in your deeds. He is Majestic and All-forgiving. 2 Who hath created seven heavens in harmony. Thou (Muhammad) canst see no fault in the Beneficent One's creation; then look again: Canst thou see any rifts? 3 Then turn your vision again, and then again; in the end your vision will come back to you, worn out and frustrated. 4 And We have certainly beautified the nearest heaven with stars and have made [from] them what is thrown at the devils and have prepared for them the punishment of the Blaze. 5 And for those who disbelieved in their Lord is the punishment of Hell, and wretched is the destination. 6 When they are cast into that [hell,] they will hear its breath indrawing as it boils up, 7 As it would burst with rage. Whenever a (fresh) host is flung therein the wardens thereof ask them: Came there unto you no warner? 8 They say, 'Yes indeed, a warner came to us; but we cried lies, saying, "God has not sent down anything; you are only in great error. 9 And they will say: "Had we but listened or used our intelligence, we would not have been among the dwellers of the blazing Fire!" 10 They will then confess their sins: but far will be (Forgiveness) from the Companions of the Blazing Fire! 11 Indeed for those who fear their Lord without seeing is forgiveness, and a great reward. 12 And whether ye hide your word or publish it, He certainly has (full) knowledge, of the secrets of (all) hearts. 13 Would He not know, He Who has created, when He is All-Subtle, All-Aware? 14
