He it is, Who has made the earth subservient to you (i.e. easy for you to walk, to live and to do agriculture on it, etc.), so walk in the path thereof and eat of His provision, and to Him will be the Resurrection. 15 Have ye taken security from Him Who is in the heaven that He will not cause the earth to swallow you when lo! it is convulsed? 16 Do you feel secure that the One in the heavens will not strike you with a sandstorm? You will soon know, with the coming of the torment, how serious Our warning was. 17 Those who lived before them had also rejected Our warning, and how terrible was Our retribution! 18 Do they not see the birds above them, spreading out their wings and folding them in? None upholds them except the Most Beneficent (Allah). Verily, He is the All-Seer of everything. 19 What other army do you have to help you apart from Ar-Rahman? The unbelievers are surely lost in delusion. 20 Who can provide for you, if He withholds His provision? Yet they obstinately persist in rebellion and avoidance of the truth. 21 Is he who walks grovelling upon his face better guided, or he who walks upright upon a straight path? 22 SAY: "[God is] He who has brought you [all] into being, and has endowed you with hearing, and sight, and hearts: [yet] how seldom are you grateful!" 23 Say: 'It is He who scattered you in the earth, and unto Him you shall be mustered.' 24 They say, "When will this torment take place if what you say is true?" 25 Say: "God alone has knowledge. My duty is only to warn you clearly." 26 At length, when they see it close at hand, grieved will be the faces of the Unbelievers, and it will be said (to them): "This is (the promise fulfilled), which ye were calling for!" 27 Say: 'What think you? If God destroys me and those with me, or has mercy on us, then who will protect the unbelievers from a painful chastisement?' 28 Say, "He is the Beneficent One in whom we have faith and trust. You will soon know who is in manifest error". 29 Say, "Have you not thought that if your water was to dry up, who would bring you water from the spring?" 30
