It is He who made the earth submissive to you; therefore walk in its tracts, and eat of His provision; to Him is the Uprising. 15 Do you feel secure that He who is in heaven will not cause the earth to swallow you, the while it rocks? 16 Or are you secure of those in the heaven that He should not send down upon you a punishment? Then shall you know how was My warning. 17 And indeed those before them belied (the Messengers of Allah), then how terrible was My denial (punishment)? 18 Do they not see the birds above them with wings outspread and [sometimes] folded in? None holds them [aloft] except the Most Merciful. Indeed He is, of all things, Seeing. 19 Or, who is it that shall be your host to help you, other than the Merciful? Indeed, the unbelievers are only deluded. 20 Or who is it that will give you sustenance if He should withhold His sustenance? Nay! they persist in disdain and aversion. 21 Is he who walks grovelling upon his face better guided, or he who walks upright upon a straight path? 22 Proclaim (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), “It is He Who created you, and made ears and eyes and hearts for you; very little thanks do you offer!” 23 Say: "It is He Who has multiplied you through the earth, and to Him shall ye be gathered together." 24 But they say: "When will this promise come to pass, if what you say is true?" 25 Say, "God knows best. I am only one who gives warning". 26 So when they will see it close, the faces of the disbelievers will become ghastly, and it will be declared, “This is what you were demanding.” 27 Say: 'What think you? If God destroys me and those with me, or has mercy on us, then who will protect the unbelievers from a painful chastisement?' 28 Say, "He is the Beneficent One in whom we have faith and trust. You will soon know who is in manifest error". 29 Say: 'What do you think. If your water should sink into the earth in the morning, who then would bring you running water' 30
