It is He who has made the earth submissive to you. Walk about in its land and eat of His provision. To Him is the Resurrection. 15 Do ye feel secure that He Who is in heaven will not cause you to be swallowed up by the earth when it shakes (as in an earthquake)? 16 Or are ye secure that He Who is in the heaven will not send against you a whirlwind? Anon ye shall know what wise hath been My warning. 17 And indeed those before them belied (the Messengers of Allah), then how terrible was My denial (punishment)? 18 Do they not see the birds above them with wings outspread and [sometimes] folded in? None holds them [aloft] except the Most Merciful. Indeed He is, of all things, Seeing. 19 What other army do you have to help you apart from Ar-Rahman? The unbelievers are surely lost in delusion. 20 Who is there to give you food in case He withholds His bounty? Yet they persist in rebellion and aversion. 21 Then is one who walks fallen on his face better guided or one who walks erect on a straight path? 22 Say: "It is He Who has created you (and made you grow), and made for you the faculties of hearing, seeing, feeling and understanding: little thanks it is ye give. 23 Say, “It is He Who has spread you out in the earth, and towards Him you will be raised.” 24 And they say, "When is this promise, if you should be truthful?" 25 Say thou: the knowledge is only with Allah, and I am but a warner manifest. 26 But when they see it drawing near, the faces of those who deny the truth will turn gloomy and they will be told, "This is what you were calling for." 27 Say (O Muhammad): Have ye thought: Whether Allah causeth me (Muhammad) and those with me to perish or hath mercy on us, still, who will protect the disbelievers from a painful doom? 28 Say, "He is the Most Merciful; we have believed in Him, and upon Him we have relied. And you will [come to] know who it is that is in clear error." 29 Say: 'What think you? If in the morning your water should have vanished into the earth, then who would bring you running water?' 30
