For, behold, it is the God-conscious [alone] whom gardens of bliss await with their Sustainer: 34 Shall We treat the Muslims like criminals? 35 What is the matter with you? How ill do you judge! 36 Or have you a book wherein you read, 37 That ye shall indeed have all that ye choose? 38 Or you have oaths from Us, reaching to the Day of Resurrection that yours will be what you judge. 39 (Muhammad), ask which of them can guarantee that on the Day of Judgment. 40 Or have they some "Partners" (in Allahhead)? Then let them produce their "partners", if they are truthful! 41 (Remember) the Day when the Shin shall be laid bare (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) and they shall be called to prostrate (to Allah), but they (hypocrites) shall not be able to do so, 42 humbled shall be their eyes, and abasement shall overspread them, for they had been summoned to bow themselves while they were whole. 43 Hence, leave Me alone with such as give the lie to this tiding. We shall bring them low, step by step, without their perceiving how it has come about: 44 Yet I will give them respite: Surely My plan is compact. 45 Or is it that [they fear lest] thou ask them for a reward, [O Prophet,] so that they would be burdened with debt [if they listened to thee]? 46 Or have they (the knowledge of) the unseen, so that they write (it) down? 47 Then be patient for the decision of your Lord, [O Muhammad], and be not like the companion of the fish when he called out while he was distressed. 48 If not that a favor from his Lord overtook him, he would have been thrown onto the naked shore while he was censured. 49 His Lord therefore chose him and made him among those deserving His proximity. 50 And those who disbelieve would almost smite you with their eyes when they hear the reminder, and they say: Most surely he is mad. 51 But it is nothing other than a Reminder for all the worlds. 52
