Incontestable (Al-Haaqqah)
52 verses, revealed in Mecca after Kingship (Al-Mulk) before The Heights (Al-Ma'aarej)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ The Inevitable Reality - 1 What is the Inevitable Reality? 2 And what will make thee realise what the Sure Reality is? 3 (The tribes of) Thamud and A'ad disbelieved in the judgment to come. 4 As for Thamood, they were destroyed by the Screamer; 5 and as for the 'Ad - they were destroyed by a storm wind furiously raging, 6 He made it rage against them seven nights and eight days in succession: so that thou couldst see the (whole) people lying prostrate in its (path), as they had been roots of hollow palm-trees tumbled down! 7 Then do you see of them any remains? 8 And Fir'aun (Pharaoh), and those before him, and the cities overthrown [the towns of the people of [Lout (Lot)] committed sin, 9 and rebelled against their Lord's Messenger. So He took them with a stern taking. 10 Verily! When the water rose beyond its limits [Nuh's (Noah) Flood], We carried you (mankind) in the floating [ship that was constructed by Nuh (Noah)]. 11 That We might make it for you a reminder and [that] a conscious ear would be conscious of it. 12 Then when the Horn is blown with one blast 13 and the earth and the mountains are lifted up and crushed with a single blow, 14 on that Day the Great Event will come to pass. 15 and the sky will be rent asunder - for, frail will it have become on that Day; 16 And the angels shall be on the borders thereof; and on that Day eight shall bear over them the Throne of thy Lord. 17 On that day you shall be exposed to view-- no secret of yours shall remain hidden. 18 Then, as for him who is given his record in his right hand, he will say: Take, read my book! 19 Surely I knew that I shall meet my account. 20 And he will be in a life of Bliss, 21 In a Garden on high, 22 The fruit clusters of which are hanging down. 23 'Eat and drink with wholesome appetite for that you did long ago, in the days gone by.' 24 But whosoever gets his ledger in his left hand, will say: "Would that I were never given my ledger, 25 "And that I had never known, how my Account is? 26 How I wish my death had ended all. 27 "Of no profit to me has been my wealth! 28 "My power has perished from me!"... 29 (A command will be issued): “Seize him and shackle him, 30 and then roast him in Hell, 31 Then thrust him into a chain the length of which is seventy cubits. 32 Behold, he never believed in God the All-mighty, 33 nor would he urge the feeding of the poor. 34 “So he does not have any friend here this day.” 35 and has no food except the filth from the washing of wounds, 36 None will eat except the Khati'un (sinners, disbelievers, polytheists, etc.). 37
