Incontestable (Al-Haaqqah)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ The Indubitable! 1 And what is that indubitable event? 2 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the reality is! 3 Thamud and 'Ad people denied the Qari'ah [the striking Hour (of Judgement)]! 4 But the Thamud,- they were destroyed by a terrible Storm of thunder and lightning! 5 The Ads were destroyed by a swift, destructive gale 6 Which He imposed on them for seven long nights and eight long days so that thou mightest have seen men lying overthrown, as they were hollow trunks of palm-trees. 7 and dost thou now see any remnant of them? 8 And Firaun, and those before him, and the dwellings that were inverted and thrown, had brought error. 9 And disobeyed (each) the messenger of their Lord; so He punished them with an abundant Penalty. 10 When the flood rose high and covered the whole land, We carried you in the Ark. 11 as a lesson for you, but only attentive ears will retain it. 12 So when the Trumpet is blown with a single blast 13 the earth and mountains will be raised up high and crushed all together. 14 And so, that which must come to pass will on that day have come to pass; 15 And the heaven shall cleave asunder, so that on that day it shall be frail, 16 And the angels are at its edges. And there will bear the Throne of your Lord above them, that Day, eight [of them]. 17 That will be the Day when you shall be brought forth (before Allah) and no secret of yours shall remain hidden. 18 Then as to him who will be vouchsafed his book in his right hand, he shall say: here! read my book! 19 “I was certain that I will confront my account.” 20 so he will live in a state of Bliss 21 In high empyrean 22 with fruits within easy reach. 23 (And it will be said unto those therein): Eat and drink at ease for that which ye sent on before you in past days. 24 But he who is given his record in his left hand will say, "If only I had never been given my Record 25 Nor known whatever was my reckoning! 26 How I wish my death had ended all. 27 "My wealth has not availed me, 28 my authority is gone from me.' 29 'Take him, and fetter him, 30 Then cast him into the burning fire, 31 Then fasten him with a chain seventy cubits long: 32 “Indeed he refused to accept faith in Allah, the Greatest.” 33 Nor he urged on others the feeding of the poor. 34 so today he has no friend here, 35 Nor any food save filth 36 that none but sinners eat' 37
