Incontestable (Al-Haaqqah)
52 verses, revealed in Mecca after Kingship (Al-Mulk) before The Heights (Al-Ma'aarej)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ OH, THE LAYING-BARE of the truth! 1 What is the Reality? 2 And what do you know what that indubitable event is? 3 The tribes of Thamud and 'Ad denied that disaster would strike them: 4 As for Thamud, they were destroyed by the awful cry! 5 and the 'Ad were destroyed by a furious wind 6 that He subjected upon them for seven nights and eight days consecutively and you might have seen them struck down as if they were the stumps of palm trees that had fallen down. 7 Now dost thou see any remnant of them? 8 And Fir'awn and those before him and the overturned cities committed sin. 9 And they disobeyed the Apostle of their Lord, so He punished them with a vehement punishment. 10 Indeed, when the water overflowed, We carried your ancestors in the sailing ship 11 so that We might make it a reminder for you and so that attentive ears might retain it. 12 When a single blow is blown on the Horn, 13 And the earth and mountains heaved and crushed to powder with one levelling blow, 14 on that Day shall that indubitable event come to pass; 15 And the heaven shall be rent in sunder, it on that Day shall be frail. 16 The angels will appear by its sides and, on that Day, eight [angels] will bear your Lord's throne above them. 17 That will be the Day when you shall be brought forth (before Allah) and no secret of yours shall remain hidden. 18 Then, as for him who is given his record in his right hand, he will say: Take, read my book! 19 Verily I was sure that I would be handed over my account.” 20 He is therefore in the desired serenity. 21 in a lofty paradise, 22 The Fruits whereof (will hang in bunches) low and near. 23 “Eat and drink with pleasure the reward of what you sent ahead, in the past days.” 24 But as for him who is given his record in his left hand, he will say: Oh, would that I had not been given my book 25 and that we would never knew what our records contained. 26 I wish death had put an end to me. 27 My wealth hath not availed me, 28 "My power has perished from me!"... 29 [Allah will say], "Seize him and shackle him. 30 Roast him in Hell, 31 then fasten him with a chain, seventy cubits long. 32 "This was he that would not believe in Allah Most High. 33 nor would he urge the feeding of the poor. 34 Therefor hath he no lover here this day, 35 Nor any food save filthy corruption. 36 None will eat except the Khati'un (sinners, disbelievers, polytheists, etc.). 37

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
