Incontestable (Al-Haaqqah)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ THE CONCRETE REALITY. 1 What is the Inevitable Reality? 2 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the reality is! 3 Thamood and Aad belied the Clatterer. 4 As for Thamud, they were destroyed by the outburst. 5 And as to Ad, they were destroyed by a roaring, violent blast. 6 Which He sent to assail them for seven nights and eight days running. You should have seen the people prostrate like the decayed trunks of date-palm trees. 7 So do you see any survivor among them? 8 And Firaun, and those before him, and the dwellings that were inverted and thrown, had brought error. 9 And disobeyed (each) the messenger of their Lord; so He punished them with an abundant Penalty. 10 Surely We bore you up in the ship when the water rose high, 11 In order to make it a warning for you, and that the ear retentive may preserve it. 12 With the first blast of sound from the trumpet, 13 the earth and mountains will be raised up high and crushed all together. 14 Then on that Day shall happen the Event. 15 and the sky will be rent asunder - for, frail will it have become on that Day; 16 And the angels are at its edges. And there will bear the Throne of your Lord above them, that Day, eight [of them]. 17 On that day you shall be exposed to view-- no secret of yours shall remain hidden. 18 Now as for him whose record shall be placed in his right hand, he will exclaim: "Come you all!" Read this my record! 19 Verily I was sure that I would be handed over my account.” 20 They will have a pleasant life 21 In a Garden on high, 22 the clusters of whose fruit will be hanging low to be within reach (of the inmates of Paradise). 23 [They will be told], "Eat and drink in satisfaction for what you put forth in the days past." 24 But whosoever gets his ledger in his left hand, will say: "Would that I were never given my ledger, 25 “And had never come to know my account!” 26 Oh, would that it had been death! 27 My riches have availed me not; 28 My power hath gone from me. 29 (The stern command will say): "Seize ye him, and bind ye him, 30 “Then hurl him into the blazing fire.” 31 then in a chain seventy arm's lengths long insert him. 32 Verily he was wont not to believe in Allah, the Mighty. 33 nor did he feel any urge to feed the needy, 34 therefore he today has not here one loyal friend, 35 and no food except pus 36 None shall eat it but the sinners. 37
