Incontestable (Al-Haaqqah)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ The Resurrection Verifier; 1 What is the Sure Reality? 2 And what have you understood, how tremendous the true event is! 3 Thamood and Aad belied the Clatterer. 4 As for Thamud, they were destroyed by the outburst. 5 And as for 'Ad, they were destroyed by a furious violent wind; 6 He made it rage against them seven nights and eight days in succession: so that thou couldst see the (whole) people lying prostrate in its (path), as they had been roots of hollow palm-trees tumbled down! 7 Beholdest thou any of them remaining? 8 And there was Pharaoh, too, and [many of] those who lived before him, and the cities that were overthrown - [all of them] indulged in sin upon sin 9 and rebelled against their Lord's Messenger. So He took them with a stern taking. 10 Indeed, when the water overflowed, We carried your ancestors in the sailing ship 11 so that We might make all this a [lasting] reminder to you all, and that every wide-awake ear might consciously take it in. 12 Hence, [bethink yourselves of the Last Hour,] when the trumpet [of judgment] shall be sounded with a single blast, 13 And the earth and the mountains are lifted and leveled with one blow - 14 on that Day, the Event occurs. 15 and heaven shall be split, for upon that day it shall be very frail, 16 And the angels will be on its sides, and eight angels will, that Day, bear the Throne of your Lord above them. 17 The Day whereon ye shall be mustered nothing hidden by you shall be hidden. 18 Then, as for him who is given his record in his right hand, he will say: Take, read my book! 19 Behold, I did know that [one day] I would have to face my account! 20 So he will be in a pleasant life - 21 In a lofty Paradise, 22 The fruits of which are near at hand: 23 (And it will be said unto those therein): Eat and drink at ease for that which ye sent on before you in past days. 24 As for him whose Record will be given to him in his left hand, he will exclaim: “Would that I had never been given my Record, 25 And not known my account! 26 I wish my death had been the decisive one. 27 My wealth has not helped me a thing 28 “All my power has vanished.” 29 'Take him, and fetter him, 30 and then let him enter Hell. 31 Then into a chain whose length is seventy cubits insert him." 32 for, behold, he did not believe in God, the Tremendous, 33 Nor urged others to feed the poor. 34 Wherefore for him here this Day there is no friend. 35 “Nor any food except the pus discharged from the people of hell.” 36 which only the sinners will eat.” 37
