Incontestable (Al-Haaqqah)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ The Sure Reality! 1 and what is the Resurrection Verifier? 2 And what would make you realize what the sure calamity is! 3 Thamud and 'Ad people denied the Qari'ah [the striking Hour (of Judgement)]! 4 Then the Thamud were destroyed by an awesome upheaval; 5 And as for A'ad, they were destroyed by a fierce roaring wind, 6 violent that He compelled against them seven nights and eight days, uninterruptedly, and thou mightest see the people laid prostrate in it as if they were the stumps of fallen down palm-trees. 7 and dost thou now see any remnant of them? 8 Similarly, Pharaoh, and those before him, and the ruined villages, sinned 9 and rebelled against their Sustainer's apostles: and so He took them to task with a punishing grasp exceedingly severe! 10 Verily when the water rose to great heights, We bore you upon a floating vessel (i.e. the Ark) 11 That We might make it for you a reminder and [that] a conscious ear would be conscious of it. 12 So, when the Trumpet is blown with a single blast 13 And the earth and the mountains will be lifted up and crushed with a single crush. 14 On that Day shall the (Great) Event come to pass. 15 And the heaven will split asunder – so on that day it will be unstable. 16 And the angels will be on its sides; and on that day, eight angels will carry the Throne of your Lord above them. 17 That Day shall you be brought to Judgement, not a secret of you will be hidden. 18 Those who will receive the books of the records of their deeds in their right hands will say, "Come and read my record. 19 “I was certain that I will confront my account.” 20 So he shall be in a life of pleasure, 21 In an elevated garden, 22 the clusters of whose fruit will be hanging low to be within reach (of the inmates of Paradise). 23 "Eat ye and drink ye, with full satisfaction; because of the (good) that ye sent before you, in the days that are gone!" 24 But as for him who will be given his Record in his left hand, will say: "I wish that I had not been given my Record! 25 and neither known this my account! 26 I wish my death had been the decisive one. 27 My riches have not availed me, 28 Vanished has my power from me." 29 (It will be said): Take him and fetter him 30 Roast him in Hell, 31 Then fasten him with a chain seventy cubits long: 32 He did not believe in God the supreme, 33 and he never urged the feeding of the needy; 34 “So he does not have any friend here this day.” 35 Nor any food save filthy corruption. 36 None will eat except the Khati'un (sinners, disbelievers, polytheists, etc.). 37
