I swear by that which ye see. 38 as well as all that you cannot see: 39 because the Quran is certainly the word of a reverent messenger. 40 not the speech of a poet. Little do you believe! 41 Nor is it the word of a soothsayer -- how little you reflect! 42 It has been sent down by the Lord of all the worlds. 43 Now if he [whom We have entrusted with it] had dared to attribute some [of his own] sayings unto Us, 44 We would certainly have seized him by the right hand, 45 Then would have cut off his heart’s artery. 46 And not one of you could have held Us off from him. 47 The Quran is certainly a reminder for the pious ones. 48 We know that there are some among you who will belie. 49 it will be a source of bitter regret for those who deny the truth -- 50 This is the Truth beyond any doubt. 51 So glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most Great. 52
