So I swear by what you see 38 And what ye see not, 39 because the Quran is certainly the word of a reverent messenger. 40 It is not the speech of a poet little do you believe 41 nor the speech of a soothsayer (little do you remember). 42 It is a revelation sent down by the Sustainer of the Universe: 43 And if he [i.e., the Prophets] had forged this Discourse and thereafter ascribed it to Us, 44 We would have seized him by the right hand, 45 And then severed his life-artery, 46 Nor could any of you withhold him (from Our wrath). 47 Surely it is a Reminder to the godfearing; 48 We certainly know that some among you do deny it. 49 And indeed it (this Quran) will be an anguish for the disbelievers (on the Day of Resurrection). 50 And He, He is indeed the ultimate Reality. 51 Extol, then the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's mighty name! 52
