Al-Haaqqah 2 of 2
I swear by all that you can see, 38 and by what you do not see, 39 Most surely, it is the Word brought by an honored Apostle, 40 And not the word of a poet. How little is it that you believe! 41 Nor is it the speech of a sooth-sayer. Little are ye admonished. 42 This is the Revelation sent down from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 43 And if he had fabricated against Us some of the sayings, 44 We would indeed have seized him by his right hand, 45 and cut-off his main artery. 46 Nor could any of you withhold him (from Our wrath). 47 And verily, this Quran is a Reminder for the Muttaqun (pious - see V. 2:2). 48 We know very well that there are some among you who reject Our signs -- 49 And indeed, it will be [a cause of] regret upon the disbelievers. 50 This is the Truth beyond any doubt. 51 Exalt the Name of your Lord, the Great. 52

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
