But nay! I swear by all that ye see 38 and all that you do not see, 39 That this is verily the word of an honoured Messenger [i.e. Jibrael (Gabriel) or Muhammad SAW which he has brought from Allah]. 40 And it is not the speech of a poet. Little it is that ye believe 41 Nor the word of a soothsayer; little do you remember. 42 A sending down from the Lord of all Being. 43 And if the messenger were to invent any sayings in Our name, 44 We would have seized him by the right hand; 45 And then severed his life-artery, 46 Then none among you would be his saviour. 47 And verily it is an admonition unto the God-fearing. 48 We certainly know that some among you will give the lie to it, 49 it will be a source of bitter regret for those who deny the truth -- 50 But verily it is Truth of assured certainty. 51 So glorify the name of your Lord, the Almighty. 52
