What aileth those who disbelieve, that they keep staring toward thee (O Muhammad), open-eyed, 36 towards thee on the right hand and on the left hand in knots? 37 Doth every man among them hope to enter the Garden of Delight? 38 Not so; for We have created them of what they know. 39 I do not need to swear by the Lord of the eastern and western regions that We have certainly all the power 40 to substitute a better than they; We shall not be outstripped. 41 (Muhammad), leave them alone to dispute and play until they face the Day with which they have been threatened: 42 the Day when they shall come out of their graves in haste, as if they were racing to a goal, 43 Their eyes cast down; disgrace shall overtake them; that is the day which they were threatened with. 44
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Heights (Al-Ma'aarej). Sent down in Mecca after Incontestable (Al-Haaqqah) before The News (Al-Naba')
