What aileth those who disbelieve, that they keep staring toward thee (O Muhammad), open-eyed, 36 [coming upon thee] from the right and from the left, in crowds? 37 Does every man among them aspire to be admitted into the Garden of serenity? 38 Not so; for We have created them of what they know. 39 I swear by the Lord of the easts and the wests, that, verily We are Able. 40 to replace them with others better than them: nothing can prevent Us from doing this, 41 so leave them to indulge in vain idle talk and amuse themselves, until they face the Day which they have been promised, 42 the Day when they rush out of their graves as if racing towards a signpost, 43 With their eyes lowered in fear and humility, ignominy covering them (all over)! That is the Day which they were promised! 44
