WHAT, THEN, is amiss with such as are bent on denying the truth, that they run about confusedly to and fro before thee, 36 towards thee on the right hand and on the left hand in knots? 37 Doth every man among them hope to enter the Garden of Delight? 38 By no means! Surely We have created them of what they know. 39 Now I do call to witness the Lord of all points in the East and the West that We can certainly- 40 to replace them by a better people and none can challenge Our power. 41 Therefore leave them alone to go on with the false discourses and to sport until they come face to face with that day of theirs with which they are threatened; 42 The day when they come forth from the graves in haste, as racing to a goal, 43 with downcast eyes, with ignominy overwhelming them: that Day which they were promised again and again 44
