Noah (Nooh)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Verily We! We sent Nuh unto his people saying: warn thy people ere there come unto them torment afflictive. 1 He said: "O my People! I am to you a Warner, clear and open: 2 “That you must worship Allah and fear Him, and obey me.” 3 He will forgive your sins and will grant you respite till an appointed time. When the time appointed by God arrives, it cannot be postponed, if you only knew." 4 He said: O my Lord! surely I have called my people by night and by day! 5 But my invitation increased them not except in flight. 6 And whenever I called them, that Thou mightest forgive them, they put their fingers in their ears, and wrapped them in their garments, and persisted, and waxed very proud. 7 Then I invited them publicly. 8 and spoke to them in public and in private." 9 and told them, "Ask forgiveness from your Lord; He is All-forgiving". 10 ‘He will send down abundant rain for you from the sky.’ 11 and give to you wealth and sons, and provide you with gardens and rivers. 12 What is amiss with you that you do not look forward to the majesty of Allah 13 when He has created you through different stages of existence? 14 "Have you not seen that God has created the seven heavens one above the other 15 and set the moon therein for a light and the sun for a lamp? 16 "'And God has caused you to grow out of the earth in [gradual] growth; and thereafter He will return you to it [in death]: 17 Afterwards He will return you into it (the earth), and bring you forth (again on the Day of Resurrection)? 18 God has made the earth for you a spreading, 19 That you may go about therein in broad roads. 20
