Noah (Nooh)
28 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Bee (Al-nahl) before Abraham (Ibrahim)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
BEHOLD. We sent Noah unto his people. [Saying:] "Warn thy people ere grievous suffering befall them! 1 He said: 'My nation, I am a clear warner for you. 2 that you should worship God [alone] and be conscious of Him. "Now do pay heed unto me, 3 Allah will forgive you of your sins and delay you for a specified term. Indeed, the time [set by] Allah, when it comes, will not be delayed, if you only knew.' " 4 He said: "O my Lord! I have called to my People night and day: 5 "But my call only increases (their) flight (from the Right). 6 Each time I called them so that You might forgive them, they thrust their fingers in their ears and wrapped themselves in their garments, and persisted becoming very proud. 7 Then indeed I called them openly; 8 “Then I also told them publicly and also spoke to them softly in private.” 9 and told them, "Ask forgiveness from your Lord; He is All-forgiving". 10 "'He will send rain to you in abundance; 11 and will succour you with wealth and sons, and will appoint for you gardens, and will appoint for you rivers. 12 What is [the matter] with you that you do not attribute to Allah [due] grandeur 13 When He created you by (divers) stages? 14 ‘Do you not see how Allah has created the seven heavens atop each other?’ 15 setting in them the moon as a light and the sun as a lantern? 16 And Allah has brought you forth from the (dust of) earth. [Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol. 29, Page 97]. 17 Then He returns you to it, then will He bring you forth a (new) bringing forth: 18 ‘And it is Allah Who made the earth a bed for you.’ 19 that thereof you may thread ways, ravines." 20

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
