Noah (Nooh)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
We sent Noah to his people telling him, "Warn your people before a painful torment approaches them". 1 He said, “O my people! I am indeed a Herald of clear warnings to you.” 2 Worship Allah, and fear Him, and obey me. 3 "So He may forgive you your sins and give you respite for a stated Term: for when the Term given by Allah is accomplished, it cannot be put forward: if ye only knew." 4 Noah said, "My Lord, I have been preaching to my people, night and day, 5 “So for them, my calling them increased their fleeing away.” 6 Each time I called them so that You might forgive them, they thrust their fingers in their ears and wrapped themselves in their garments, and persisted becoming very proud. 7 Then verily I have called unto them publicly 8 and preached to them in public, and also addressed them in secret. 9 "I said (to them): 'Ask forgiveness from your Lord; Verily, He is Oft-Forgiving; 10 He will send you abundant 11 and give to you wealth and sons, and provide you with gardens and rivers. 12 strengthen you by (providing) you wealth and children, and make gardens and streams for you. What is the matter with you that you are not afraid of the greatness of God 13 ‘Whereas it is He Who created you in different stages?’ 14 Have you not regarded how God created seven heavens one upon another, 15 "'And made the moon a light in their midst, and made the sun as a (Glorious) Lamp? 16 ‘And it is Allah Who made you grow like vegetation from the earth.’ 17 "'And in the End He will return you into the (earth), and raise you forth (again at the Resurrection)? 18 Allah has made the earth spread out for you 19 That you may go along therein in wide paths. 20
