Noah (Nooh)
28 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Bee (Al-nahl) before Abraham (Ibrahim)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
We sent Noah to his people (and directed him): “Warn your people before a grievous chastisement comes upon them.” 1 He said: "O my people, I warn you clearly 2 saying, "Serve God, and fear Him, and obey you me, 3 That He may forgive you somewhat of your sins and respite you to an appointed term. Lo! the term of Allah, when it cometh, cannot be delayed, if ye but knew. 4 He said: My Lord! Lo! I have called unto my people night and day 5 but it has had no effect on them except to make them run away. 6 "And verily! Every time I called unto them that You might forgive them, they thrust their fingers into their ears, covered themselves up with their garments, and persisted (in their refusal), and magnified themselves in pride. 7 Then I called them loudly and more openly, 8 and indeed, I spoke to them both publicly and in secret: 9 "Saying, 'Ask forgiveness from your Lord; for He is Oft-Forgiving; 10 He will let loose the sky for you in plenteous rain, 11 and give to you wealth and sons, and provide you with gardens and rivers. 12 strengthen you by (providing) you wealth and children, and make gardens and streams for you. What is the matter with you that you are not afraid of the greatness of God 13 While He has created you in (different) stages [i.e. first Nutfah, then 'Alaqah and then Mudghah, see (VV. 23:13, 14) the Quran]. 14 Behold ye not in what wise Allah hath created seven heavens in storeys. 15 And hath made the moon a light therein, and made the sun a lamp? 16 God made you grow from the earth. 17 Then He returns you to it, then will He bring you forth a (new) bringing forth: 18 God has spread out the earth 19 That you may go along therein in wide paths. 20

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
