Noah (Nooh)
28 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Bee (Al-nahl) before Abraham (Ibrahim)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
We sent Noah to his People (with the Command): "Do thou warn thy People before there comes to them a grievous Penalty." 1 He said, “O my people! I am indeed a Herald of clear warnings to you.” 2 Worship God, have fear of Him and obey me. 3 "So He may forgive you your sins and give you respite for a stated Term: for when the Term given by Allah is accomplished, it cannot be put forward: if ye only knew." 4 He said, “My Lord! I invited my people night and day.” 5 but my call has only caused them to flee farther and farther away [from Thee]. 6 And whenever I have called them that Thou mayest forgive them, they put their fingers in their ears, cover themselves with their garments, and persist and are puffed up with pride: 7 Then surely I called to them aloud: 8 "Then verily, I proclaimed to them in public, and I have appealed to them in private, 9 and told them, "Ask forgiveness from your Lord; He is All-forgiving". 10 He will send you abundant rain from the sky, 11 and will succour you with wealth and sons, and will appoint for you gardens, and will appoint for you rivers. 12 "'What is amiss with you that you cannot look forward to God's majesty, 13 He has created you by stages! 14 Do you not see how Allah has created the seven heavens, one above another, 15 And hath placed the moon therein for a light, and hath made the sun a lamp? 16 ‘And it is Allah Who made you grow like vegetation from the earth.’ 17 how He will then return you to it and bring you forth again, 18 Allah has made the earth a wide expanse for you 19 ‘So that you may tread the wide roads in it.’” 20

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
