Jinns (Al-Jinn)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Proclaim (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), “I have received the divine revelation that some jinns attentively listened to my recitation, so they said, ‘We have heard a unique Qur’an.’ 1 Guiding to the right way, so we believe in it, and we will not set up any one with our Lord: 2 He -- exalted be our Lord's majesty! has not taken to Himself either consort or a son. 3 "'And [now we know] that the foolish among us were wont to say outrageous things about God, 4 And we had thought that mankind and the jinn would never speak about Allah a lie. 5 And indeed (O Muhammad) individuals of humankind used to invoke the protection of individuals of the jinn, so that they increased them in revolt against Allah); 6 ‘And that they assumed, like you humans assume, that Allah would not send any Noble Messenger.’ 7 (The jinn continued saying): "We made our way towards heaven, but we found it filled with stern guards and a flame. 8 And we were wont to sit on seats therein to listen; but whosoever listeneth now findeth for him a dartin meteor in wait. 9 'And we understand not whether ill is intended to those on earth, or whether their Lord (really) intends to guide them to right conduct. 10 'There are among us some that are righteous, and some the contrary: we follow divergent paths. 11 and that “we thought that we will neither be able to frustrate Allah on earth, nor frustrate Him by flight”; 12 'And as for us, since we have listened to the Guidance, we have accepted it: and any who believes in his Lord has no fear, either of a short (account) or of any injustice. 13 And of us some are Muslims, and of us some are deviators. Then whosoever hath embraced Islam - such have endeavoured after a path of rectitude. 14 ‘And as for the unjust – they are the fuel of hell.’” 15 And had they kept to the path surely We would have watered them with rain plenteous. 16 That We might try them thereby. And whosoever turns away from the Reminder of his Lord (i.e. this Quran, and practice not its laws and orders), He will cause him to enter in a severe torment (i.e. Hell). 17 And that the mosques are Allah's, therefore call not upon any one with Allah: 18 Do not prostrate before anyone other than Him. When the servant of God (Muhammad) preached (his message) the jinn would all crowd around him. 19
