Jinns (Al-Jinn)
28 verses, revealed in Mecca after A 'araaf (Al-A 'araaf) before Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Say thou: it hath been revealed unto me that a company of the jinn listened, and said, verily we have listened to a Recitation wondrous. 1 'It guides to the Right Path, and we have believed therein, and we shall never join (in worship) anything with our Lord (Allah). 2 and exalted is the majesty of our Lord, He has taken neither a wife nor a son. 3 And [now we know] that the foolish among us have been saying outrageous things about God. 4 We had supposed that men and jinn would never utter a lie against God. 5 But there were certain men from mankind who would take refuge with certain males from the jinn and they increased them in tyranny. 6 ‘And that they assumed, like you humans assume, that Allah would not send any Noble Messenger.’ 7 'And we have sought to reach the heaven; but found it filled with stern guards and flaming fires. 8 We used to sit near by and try to listen to the heavens, but shooting flames now await those who try to do that. 9 We do not know whether by this arrangement God intends benefit and guidance for the people of the earth or only evil. 10 And of us there are some righteous, and of us are some otherwise; we have been following very diverse paths. 11 And we have become certain that we will never cause failure to Allah upon earth, nor can we escape Him by flight. 12 and that “when we heard the teaching of the Right Way we came to believe in it; he who believes in His Lord shall have no fear of suffering loss or being subjected to any injustice”; 13 ‘And that some among us are Muslims and some are the unjust; and whoever has accepted Islam it is they who have thought rightly.’ 14 but as for those who have deviated, they have become firewood for Gehenna!"' 15 If they had followed the right path, We would have provided them with abundant rain -- 16 so that We might try them through this bounty. Whoso turns away from the remembrance of his Lord, He will cause him to suffer a grievous chastisement; 17 And the places of worship are only for Allah, so pray not unto anyone along with Allah. 18 And when the bondman of Allah stood calling upon Him, they well nigh pressed on him stifling. 19

Notes and Instructions
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
