Jinns (Al-Jinn)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Say (O Muhammad SAW): "It has been revealed to me that a group (from three to ten in number) of jinns listened (to this Quran). They said: 'Verily! We have heard a wonderful Recital (this Quran)! 1 ‘That guides to the path of goodness, we have therefore accepted faith in it; and we shall never ascribe anyone as a partner to our Lord.’ 2 And (we believe) that He - exalted be the glory of our Lord! - hath taken neither wife nor son, 3 and that “the foolish among us have been wont to say outrageous things about Allah”; 4 We thought that no man or jinn could ever tell lies about God. 5 And there were men from mankind who sought refuge in men from the jinn, so they [only] increased them in burden. 6 And indeed they imagined, even as ye imagined, that Allah will not raise any one. 7 "'And [so it happened] that we reached out towards heaven: but we found it filled with mighty guards and flames, 8 notwithstanding that we were established in positions [which we had thought well-suited] to listening to [whatever secrets might be in] it: and anyone who now [or ever] tries to listen will [likewise] find a flame lying in wait for him! 9 And we know not whether evil is boded for those who are on the earth, or whether their Lord intendeth for them a right direction. 10 And among us there are righteous folk and among us there are far from that. We are sects having different rules. 11 We knew that we could never challenge God whether we stayed on earth or fled elsewhere. 12 And when we heard the guidance, we believed therein, and whoso believeth in his Lord, he feareth neither loss nor oppression. 13 And among us are Muslims [in submission to Allah], and among us are the unjust. And whoever has become Muslim - those have sought out the right course. 14 And as to the deviators, they are fuel of hell: 15 (Say): "If they keep to the right path We shall give them water in abundance to drink 16 and tested them with it. And whosoever turns away from his Lord's Remembrance, He will hurl him into a stern punishment. 17 and that “mosques belong to Allah, so do not invoke anyone with Him”; 18 And when the bondman of Allah stood calling upon Him, they well nigh pressed on him stifling. 19
