28 verses, revealed in Mecca after A 'araaf (Al-A 'araaf) before Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Say thou: it hath been revealed unto me that a company of the jinn listened, and said, verily we have listened to a Recitation wondrous. 1 Which guides to the right path; and we have come to believe in it, and will not associate any one with our Lord. 2 ‘And that our Lord’s Majesty is Supreme – He has neither chosen a wife nor a child.’ 3 And that the foolish one among us used to speak concerning Allah an atrocious lie. 4 And we had thought that mankind and the jinn would never speak about Allah a lie. 5 But there were certain men from mankind who would take refuge with certain males from the jinn and they increased them in tyranny. 6 Like you, they thought that Allah would never raise the dead. 7 And we have sought [to reach] the heaven but found it filled with powerful guards and burning flames. 8 We sat in observatories to listen; but any one who listened found a shooting star in wait for him. 9 And we know not whether evil is boded for those who are on the earth, or whether their Lord intendeth for them a right direction. 10 For some of us are upright and some otherwise: Surely we follow different ways. 11 We realised that we could not weaken the power of God on earth, nor outpace Him by running away. 12 'And indeed when we heard the Guidance (this Quran), we believed therein (Islamic Monotheism), and whosoever believes in his Lord shall have no fear, either of a decrease in the reward of his good deeds or an increase in punishment for his sins. 13 'And of us some are Muslims (who have submitted to Allah, after listening to this Quran), and of us some are Al-Qasitun (disbelievers those who have deviated from the Right Path)'. And whosoever has embraced Islam (i.e. has become a Muslim by submitting to Allah), then such have sought the Right Path." 14 but as for those who have deviated, they have become firewood for Gehenna!"' 15 If people were to keep firmly to the Right Way, We would have vouchsafed them abundant rain 16 So We might test them therein. And whoever turns away from the remembrance of his Lord He will put into arduous punishment. 17 and that “mosques belong to Allah, so do not invoke anyone with Him”; 18 when God's servant stood up to pray to Him, they pressed close to him in great numbers, almost stifling him. 19

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
