Jinns (Al-Jinn)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Say: 'It has been revealed to me that a company of the jinn gave ear, then they said, "We have indeed heard a Koran wonderful, 1 It guides to the right course, and we have believed in it. And we will never associate with our Lord anyone. 2 'And exalted be the Majesty of our Lord, He has taken neither a wife, nor a son (or offspring or children). 3 And [now we know] that the foolish among us have been saying outrageous things about God. 4 ‘Whereas we thought that men and jinns would never fabricate a lie against Allah!’ 5 'True, there were persons among mankind who took shelter with persons among the Jinns, but they increased them in folly. 6 and that “they thought, even as you thought, that Allah would never raise anyone (as a Messenger)”; 7 And we stretched towards heaven, but we found it filled with terrible guards and meteors. 8 And we used to sit therein in positions for hearing, but whoever listens now will find a burning flame lying in wait for him. 9 ‘And we do not know whether harm is intended for those on the earth, or whether their Lord intends goodness for them.’ 10 And among us there are righteous folk and among us there are far from that. We are sects having different rules. 11 And we know that we cannot frustrate Allah in the earth, nor can we frustrate Him by flight. 12 And when we heard the guidance, we believed therein, and whoso believeth in his Lord, he feareth neither loss nor oppression. 13 'And of us some are Muslims (who have submitted to Allah, after listening to this Quran), and of us some are Al-Qasitun (disbelievers those who have deviated from the Right Path)'. And whosoever has embraced Islam (i.e. has become a Muslim by submitting to Allah), then such have sought the Right Path." 14 but those who deviated from the Truth, will be the fuel for Hell.” 15 If they had followed the right path, We would have provided them with abundant rain -- 16 so as to test them by this means: for he who shall turn away from the remembrance of his Sustainer, him will He cause to undergo suffering most grievous. 17 And the places of worship are only for Allah, so pray not unto anyone along with Allah. 18 When the worshiper of Allah stood supplicating to Him, they swarmed around him (Prophet Muhammad). 19
