Jinns (Al-Jinn)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Say: 'It is revealed to me that a party of jinn listened then said: "We have indeed heard a wonderful Koran, 1 which guides people to the right path and we believe in it. We shall never consider anyone equal to our Lord; 2 'And Exalted is the Majesty of our Lord: He has taken neither a wife nor a son. 3 "'And [now we know] that the foolish among us were wont to say outrageous things about God, 4 And lo! we had supposed that humankind and jinn would not speak a lie concerning Allah - 5 But some men used to seek refuge with some jinns, and this increased their waywardness; 6 Those people thought, like you, that God would never send down a Messenger. 7 And we sought to reach the heaven; then we found it filled with a strong guard and darting meteors. 8 'And verily, we used to sit there in stations, to (steal) a hearing, but any who listens now will find a flaming fire watching him in ambush. 9 We do not know if this means ill for the dwellers of the earth, or their Lord wishes guidance for them. 10 Some of us are righteous, but some are otherwise, we are sects that differ. 11 'But we think that we can by no means frustrate Allah throughout the earth, nor can we frustrate Him by flight. 12 ‘And that when we heard the guidance, we accepted faith in it; so whoever accepts faith in his Lord, has no fear – neither of any loss nor of any injustice.’ 13 and that “among us some are Muslims (Those who have submitted to Allah), and some of us are deviant. So those who became Muslims found the Right Course; 14 but those who deviated from the Truth, will be the fuel for Hell.” 15 [KNOW,] THEN, that if they [who have heard Our call] keep firmly to the [right] path, We shall certainly shower them with blessings abundant, 16 that We might try them therein. And whosoever turns away from the Remembrance of his Lord, He will thrust him into chastisement rigorous. 17 "And the places of worship are for Allah (alone): So invoke not any one along with Allah; 18 Do not prostrate before anyone other than Him. When the servant of God (Muhammad) preached (his message) the jinn would all crowd around him. 19
